Blog Anniversary

I'm notorious for forgetting special days (just ask Amber, she'll give you an earful) so I suppose that it's only fitting that I missed this one, too.

 I've just noticed that I started this blog on April 16, 2012. So it's been up and running for just a little over a year. I have to tell you that, at the time, I didn't have a clue what I was going to post here, or who would be interested in reading any of it even if I did. Well, it's been quite a year, so there's been plenty to talk about. I just want to take a moment to thank all of you for caring enough to follow.

So there, first year's in the books. Stay tuned, the second year's shaping up to be even better!

Hello Horror - 2nd Edition

The 2nd edition of Hello Horror was delayed for a few days due to technical difficulties, but is now up and raring to go. Included is my micro-short, "Baggage".

Update on the WW Anthology

A great group of authors are poised to give of their best in the upcoming Wild Wolf short story anthology, now slated for sometime in June. Included will be two of my stories: "Freedom's Wings" and "Cooking Without Onions".

I was also pleased to hear that Peter Fussey has been chosen to do the book's cover art. You just can't do any better than Peter. It's all I can do not to start bugging him for a peek!

"Voices" Launch

The official launch for Voices (Volume 13, #1) will be on June 15th at 2:00Pm, at the Atrium of McNally Robinson in Winnipeg. I'll be doing a reading from my winning entry, "And Then It Rained", so if any of you are in the area, stop by and say hello.

Ternie Kell

Peter Fussey is the talented artist responsible for the cover of Charlie Smithers. I never realized just how talented he was until he sent me this short excerpt from a graphic novel that is to accompany the rock opera, "Ternie Kell". The music of Brendan Perkins is no slouch either. It's got Pink Floyd written all over it!

Baggage/HelloHorror - April 25th
