Charlie Smithers is always showing up at historical events, not necessarily changing events but always sure to bring an interesting perspective and a lot of humor to the situation, whatever it is. I couldn't put it down and was reading way past my bedtime.

The Second Charlie Smithers is Now Official, PLUS Its First Review!

Well, it certainly was a good idea for Wild Wolf to hand out reviewer's copies beforehand. "Charlie Smithers: Adventures in India" is now officially released, so it already felt a bit like Christmas when I bounced out of bed this morning. It got even better when I found that he also had his first review!

Cheers Monique, it's a corker!

5.0 out of 5 stars I Love This Book!! February 20, 2015
Format:Kindle Edition
I love this book!Charlie Smithers is the most endearing character. The dialogue is brilliant and he is so witty I found myself laughing out loud constantly. And on top of it all even though he's a proper gentleman's gentleman he is also a force to be reckoned with.Reading this book was indeed an adventure. C.W.Lovatt picks you up and sets you right in the middle of India. His use of imagery was so excellent I could almost swear I was standing beside Charlie through the entire book. Charlie Smithers accompanies his master( Lord Brampton) to India for a holiday and some big game hunting. While there he ends up having another one of his adventures that of course nearly costs him his life. I highly recommend this book, I literally gripped my kindle in anticipation of what would befall poor Charlie next.Excellent Read!!

Adventures in India - Release Date

Make a note  on your calendar: February 20th will be the ebook release date for Charlie Smithers: Adventures in India. The paperback will become available on the 28th of March!

"Four years after Charlie returns from Africa, having survived a charging rhinoceros, ravenous crocodiles, fierce Maasai warriors, and evil slavers (not to mention inadvertently discovering the source of the Nile,) we find him in India. Yes, that’s right, his master, Lord Brampton, accompanied by his beloved guns, appalling aim, and the ever-faithful Charlie Smithers, has decided to go adventuring again.
Unfortunately not everything goes according to plan and, in an effort to prevent a war, our hero finds himself on a madcap expedition to the reclusive kingdom of Bhutan, saving the life of the ravishing Charula Khaur along the way.
With (amongst other things) ferocious tigers, sweltering jungle, snow-packed mountains, hostile natives, and the undying gratitude of a beautiful woman, Charlie has his work cut out for him this time, as well!"

Adventures in India - Almost There!!

Blurb, check. Dedication, check. Acknowledgements, check. Photo, check. Bio, check. Manuscript, they're going over it one last time. Book cover, so agonizingly close I can taste it. Shouldn't be long at all before the next Charlie Smithers comes to life!

Adventures in India - Blurb

I've just sent off the finished manuscript for the next Charlie Smithers, "Adventures in India." As always, I feel a bit emotional, like an anxious parent seeing their child off into the world. God speed, and good luck.

Here's the blurb:

Adventures in India - Cheeboo Lama

On my last post you were able to see some progress with the dancer, Charula Khaur. Here is the finished product, and you can see that she's really quite beautiful. Also, we have the Cheeboo Lama, and where he fits into the cover. The colour of his robes, however, is currently up in the air.
