Josiah Stubb and The Winnipeg Review

Some months ago, in an effort to get my novel, "Josiah Stubb," better recognized at home, I decided to take a chance and submit it to what I think is recognized as the 'creme de la creme' of local reviewing sites in the province. In its own words, The Winnipeg Review is "Opinionated, a bit cranky, we exist to review Canuck fiction." So, needless to say, there wouldn't be any concern that they were trying to butter me up just to get on my good side. Anyway, I've been waiting on tenterhooks for their review of my book to come out, expecting something that was written by someone with carnivores at least six inches long - talons to match - and honest to the point of sadism. The question of teeth and talons aside, they didn't disappoint. Brutally honest though it might be, however, it was, by and large, really quite good.

Read on, if you dare....

  3. You should not be surprised by this review, it but repeats what many privileged readers have said. I'm thrilled Official Author-Chewing Reviewer [one that gets paid to be wise and eloquent] recognized the quality of your work. ::Happy Dance of Joy::
